Deciding the Length of your veil - If you would like to get an idea of what length suits your frame simply take a measuring tape. Measure from point on your head where you think you would like to wear your wedding veil and measure down. This will give you an idea of where you would like your wedding veil to stop. As we make our bespoke veil range to measure we can create the veil length that best suits your frame and dress.
Deciding the colour and type of tulle for your wedding veil

Shape – The shape chosen for your wedding veil will determine your silhouette and must suit your height and frame. The Veil shapes and styles are described below.
The Gathered or Pouf Veil
This Veil is gathered across the full width of the material, the more gathers, the more volume and the more opaque the look.
Centre Gathered Veil
This Veil is gathered in the middle of the fabric. The edges hang in a circle at the bottom of the veil. This veil is more streamlined than a pouf veil and lies relatively flat creating a pouf style.
This is a shell pink gathered veil. It is edged with pink Satin Ribbon and has pink and silver motifs on the veil. The veil also has a hand beaded comb decorated with crystals and beads.
Blusher
The Blusher is the section of the veil that falls forward to cover the brides face. It can be worn to any length.
Mantilla
The Mantilla/ Drop veil shape is a veil with is designed to be worn without a comb fastening it to the head. It is secured with pins. Mantilla veils have lace trim around the edges. The traditional mantilla, also known as the Spanish mantilla, is oval shaped and worn at the top of the head, secured with hairpins or attached to a head piece. Because it is one layer, this veil style cannot be worn over the face.
We have taken the traditional lace feature and applied to the edged of a centre drop veil. We have a selection of lace trims which you may choose from. The lace trims are available in white and ivory. These lace trims are meticulously hand sewn onto the edges of the veil. For something extra special, the lace can be hand beaded as well.
This Mantilla/Drop Veil is an oval Design and is made of Silk White Tulle with French Chorded Leavers Lace Edging.
How to wear a Drop Veil
The drop veil is an Oval veil shape two layer veil which allows you to wear your veil with a section over your face. It creates a very sleek veil shape as there is no sewing or gathering in the fabric.
So how do you wear your drop veil? There are three options to chose from:
1.We can attached a comb to the veil with only a few stitches to hold the comb in place.
2.We can attached a comb to the veil with gathering stitches. This means that the oval shape of the veil will be slightly drawn in. The front blusher section will be slightly shorter.

2. You can attach the Drop veil with a hat pin or straight hairpin. We can supply these if required.
If you chose the Hatpin to attach your veil first select were you want to place your veil. Then weave the pin through the fabric and your hair. When you lift back the front blusher section of your veil the fabric will lie flat.
If you chose the straight hairpin first place your veil where you would like to wear it with both layers behind your head. Then place the pin through one layer of the veil edge and then your hair. Reapeat this along the edge of the veil.

Wearing a Drop Veil with a Tiara
If you are wearing a Tiara with a drop veil I believe that it is best to have a comb attached with no gathers and then fasten the front edge of the veil with the straight hair pins. You can have your veil sewn to your Tiara but then your cannot wear you Tiara alone in the evening. Images illsutrate below are of a silk tulle veil.
1. Place your veil where you would like to wear it with both layers behind your head. Push the comb into your hair.
2. Push the pin gently through one layer of the veil edge and then through your hair. Attach a row of pins across the width of the veil.
3.With both layers behind your head place the Tiara tight against the secured edge of the veil.
4. Then attach your pins to the edge of the tiara and throught the fabric in the same way as above.
This approach means that you will have no gap between the tiara and the veil and it will also allow you to take off your veil and leave your Tiara in place for the reception.

Bubble Veil
The Bubble Veil is very gathered and creates a dramatic statement veil. It had no edge to the veil as the lower edge is tucked in to create the bubble shape and volume.
Angel Veil
This is a very delicate slim line Veil. The shaping still cascading along the sides of the veil but the end of the veil is shaped into a point. This effect is seen best on a narrow width of veil but can also be created on a wider veil. The Angel wedding veil can be created in any of the tulle Fabric and is at its most effective when edged with a trim to bring out the design element. It is available in two layers.
Ornamentation
There are two types of ornamentation – decoration that is added on and decorative details that are already engineered into the wedding veil.
There are a number of Trims, Borders, Edgings, Motifs and Beading that can be added to the edge of your Veil or to the body of the veil. The adding of motifs and beading to the body of the veil works best when a longer veil length is selected.
Body of the veil Edge of the veil Tailpiece of the veil
We can add decoration to the body of your wedding veil - These beautiful charcoal and pencil drawings have been created by local artist Billy Morrison and they represent the areas to which you can have embellishments added to your wedding veil. The detail can be created using swarovski flat back crystals which are stuck onto the veil fabric or you can chose swarovksi crystals, pearls or diamante cubes which are shown onto the fabric.
Beaded Combs - We can also add a beaded section to the comb of the wedding veil.

Engineered Detail

There are many types of tulle that have embroidered detail within the fabric with threads of silk, cotton, gold, silver and bronze.
We have a selection of Tulle, Silk tulle, embroidered tulle and ornamentation for you to view.
